Understanding Psychological Disorders: Schizophrenia and Dissociative Disorders

Schizophrenia is a chronic condition that usually surfaces  for men in their early to mid twenties and for women in their late twenties. It is a rare disease affecting about 1% of the population however it causes the most stress to doctors, media and the public  out of all the mental illnesses out there.

It is the most stigmatized and least understood of all mental illnesses, most cases being completely incorrectly diagnosed. Sufferers are shunned abused and even locked up and this is what people are working to change so we better understand the disease. Once we understand something we can  start to treat it in the correct way.
