Winston Churchill’s Speech to Counter Nazi Propaganda

During World War Two, Josef Goebbels was in charge of the Ministry for Public Enlightenment and Propaganda in Nazi Germany. It is reported that Adolf Hitler was greatly impressed by the Allied propaganda during World War One and believed it had a major demoralising effect on the German home front. It is because of this that Hitler appointed Goebbels as Minister of Propaganda and together they were convinced they had the ability to influence the outcome of the war.

In this video, Winston Churchill addresses the nation in an attempt to counteract any German propaganda the British public may have heard and allay their fears about imminent invasion.
