25 of History’s Most Horrific Massacres

This video lists 25 massacres, with information about who carried them out, the victims, when they took place, and an idea of the reasons behind them or events leading up to them.

Their dates are as long ago as 390 CE (the Emperor Theodosius in Thessaloniki) and as recent as 1947 (the Taiwanese government massacre of civilians after an uprising).

Locations include China, the USSR, Ukraine, Britain, Lebanon, India, France and Armenia. Many of the massacres listed took place during World War II; but it can be seen that no political system can claim not to have engendered horrible massacres, including atrocities such as the torture and brutal killing of unarmed women and children.
